LP Promma of Wat HinPhanangkhawy, Ubon Ratchathani province was born in 1897. He entered the Buddhist realm as a novice aged 12 at Wat WernChaiNaKorn, and became a close follower of at least two great monks, including Somdej Luen of Laos and Luang Phor Mun Puritato, a very famous Thai guru monk. It was recorded that Luang Phor Promma studied sacred sciences under Somdej Luen for six years prior to his death after which he became a disciple of Luang Phor Mun Puritato with whom he traveled widely particularly in deep forests to gain knowledge.

Luang Phor Phromma actually remained at a mountain called “Kwai” in Laos for almost 45 years before he decided to return to Thailand again in B.E.2533. After that he went out of the mountain and when Tudong pass to SuanHin Mountain, Ubon Ratchathani province. People who stay in this area requested LP Promma to live and teach them about Buddhism way. At the same time, people had given the land to LP Promma for building the temple. He took up residence at Wat Tumsuanhinkaew, Ubonrachthani province, where HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, visited him on two occasions to give homage.

LP Promma, Wat Hin Phanangkhawy, Ubon Ratchathani, has been mediating in the cave for years and seldom return to temple. Amulets by this onk have become increasingly more difficult to source.

Before he passed away, Luang Phor Promma had worked very hard to develop the forests surrounding the temple which he converted into a nature reserve.

On August 23rd, B.E.2545, Luang Phor Phromma passed away aged 105 years old. Indeed at the time of his death he was one of the oldest living monks.

Thanks bro lersi108 for sharing his biography. LP Promma is one of the greatest guru monk famous for his Phra Lersi amulets. Many years back I also chow his Phra Lersi herb roop. By now is considered collectible piece. Beside Phra Lersi, he also made & bless amulets like Phra Pitda, Phra Somdej etc.

Recently just get to know he also make Mit Mor which surprised me. Any bros can clarify on this.

Mit Mor? never heard of that. Thought LP Derm is the king of Mit Mor..

IMO, Phra lersi is LP Promma signature. When we talk about Phra Lersi, his name is often mentioned. For the past & present era, his Phra Lersi amulets & buchas have been very much desirable in the market.

Due to the matket fever, one should be more cautious when renting LP Promma collection.

other than LP Promma, other masters also made good lersi too. e.g LP Pern, LP Somjit, LPu Nong, LP Ruay etc. I find lersi very specialise and unique category.

It was said that LP Proma is very good in making Phra Lersi as I have one piece given by good friend.

I ever came across LP Promma also have Somdej, Mit Mor, Pidta etc. as seen in the internet.

LP Promma ever made quite a good collection of amulets. But famous still his Rhesi.
